Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
ParkingPro Cloud ("we", "the platform") is software for managing parking lot operations, operated from the Dominican Republic. This policy applies to the ParkingPro Cloud web/Android application and to the data we process as part of the service.
2. What data we collect
We collect different types of information depending on who is using the app:
- Client business data: business name, legal name, tax identifier (RNC/RFC/EIN/etc.), address, and phone number, entered by the business owner or admin.
- Operator accounts: name, email address, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).
- Parking session data: vehicle license plate, entry and exit time, fee charged, payment method (cash or card — we never process or store card numbers, "card" is only an accounting label).
- End customer's phone number and SMS consent record (optional): only when the business has SMS enabled and the customer affirmatively agrees. We record the consent date, interface language, and notice version to send up to two transactional messages for that parking visit: the entry ticket and final receipt.
- Buyer's tax data (optional): tax identifier and name, only when the end customer requests a tax-valid invoice.
- Camera use: used exclusively to read the vehicle's license plate via optical character recognition (OCR). This processing happens on the device itself — images are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
We do not collect location (GPS) data, we do not use advertising tracking cookies, and we do not sell data to third parties.
3. How we use the data
- To operate the service: recording entries/exits, calculating fees, printing tickets and receipts.
- To issue the tax receipt required for the business's country (for example, NCF in the Dominican Republic or CFDI in Mexico).
- To send SMS notifications only after the customer opts in for that visit. Message and data rates may apply; the customer can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, and consent is not required to use the parking service.
- To generate administrative and register-closing reports, visible only to that business's own admins.
4. Who we share data with
We use external providers strictly as technical infrastructure — we never sell them data:
- Supabase — the platform's database and authentication.
- PayPal — processes the subscription payment. Receives the subscriber's email and the business name as part of the transaction. The payment itself is governed by PayPal's own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (welcome, cancellation confirmation). Receives the admin's email, the business name, and the access code.
Each business (tenant) has its data fully isolated from every other business on the platform.
5. Security
Passwords are stored encrypted (bcrypt). Access to financial and operational data always goes through permission-controlled server functions — no client device can read the database directly. Credentials for external services are stored in a dedicated encrypted vault, never in plain text.
6. Retention and deletion
While a business keeps its account active, we keep its operational data as normal. If the subscription is cancelled, that data (operators, sessions with no tax receipt attached, registers, transactions, settings) is archived out of the business's reach for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted if the account isn't reactivated within up to 1 year of cancellation. If the business reactivates within that year, its archived data can be restored.
Tax receipts already issued (NCF, CFDI, etc.) are never deleted on cancellation — they're kept for as long as the relevant country's tax law requires, regardless of subscription status.
7. Children
ParkingPro Cloud is a business operations tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect about you, request its deletion, correct it if inaccurate, and opt out of "selling" or "sharing" it (as CCPA/CPRA define those terms) — something we don't do with anyone's data regardless. You can exercise these rights by writing to privacy@parkprocloud.com. We will not retaliate against you for exercising them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this document as the platform evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
